Welcome to the new and improved version of Eagle Peak Press. We are still small and still relatively new. But we are dedicated to creating value and expanding humanism. One way to do that is by offering a clear view of life and the world in which we all live. That means removing the filters of politics, prejudice and illusion. It means seeing things the way they really are—how they got that way and what to expect tomorrow.
Our updated website will offer not only a new look but new content. Our goal is offering readers an opportunity to make their own contributions in the form of comments, articles and more. We will discard the "Arts Showcase" which provided a presentation of items from SGI-USA members. We will also eliminate the "Fresh Perspectives" section which contained submissions from individuals striving to break into writing for the web. Replacing these, beginning in May, will be a quarterly newsletter featuring:
- An interview with an individual making the world a better place, with discussion of how a Buddhist practice informed his or her contributions.
- An essay on a topic near and dear to our hearts--starting with Buddhism and Pragmatism.
- A short story, poetry or a guest essay.
- Art in the form of photos or other images,
- Perhaps short videos.
Currently our only published book is Waiting for Westmoreland. In time, other books will be added to our catalog.
